Our stories weave a connection with other women of the world creating the fabric of our lives.
Thank you for sharing your story.
We, as women of color, will create reflections of our perspectives in this world. Women of color not only deal with patriarchy, but with the racism that is intergral to all facets of this society. Our stories embody our rage, passions, fear, love and sadness and provide the framework for our views. They are as distinct as we are, yet as universal as the oppression we face.

During my pregnancy I read many stories about natural childbirth, including Ina May's Guide to Natural Childbirth. It was very inspiring to read this book, mostly because it made me believe in something I had known all along.
Attending high school in Mexico, I once witnessed a c-section for my biology class. I almost fainted. It was the scariest thing to see somebody....Read More
